Kim Poirier-Schmidt OD, FAAO
Retinal and Ocular Diseases
Dr. Poirier-Schmidt earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry and completed a residency in ocular disease at SUNY Optometry and Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn. Her training and professional experience have provided her with expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of retinal and ocular conditions.
Dr Poirier-Schmidt is passionate about both patient care and clinical education. Outside of practice, she continues to serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring optometry students. She is also an active member and fellow of the American Academy of Optometry
In her free time, Dr. Poirier-Schmidt enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and French bulldog.
